Prior to starting Worthington, Hughes & Hoar, P.C. in September 2015, Steve spent 34 years with a small local Firm where he gained a broad and diverse background in accounting, auditing, and taxes.
Steve provides tax preparation and planning services to individuals and businesses, including insurance agencies, personal service companies, schools, health plan administrators, rental real estate entities, 401(k) retirement plans, equipment sales and services, manufacturing and retail companies. He is also responsible for the Firm’s ERISA audit and non-profit practice segments, including “Single Audits” and “UFR” filings. Steve has been involved in various volunteer work, including working with non-profit organizations where he served as Treasurer, Chair of the Finance Committee Review Board and Financial and Tax Advisor to the Board of Directors.

Steve grew-up in Stoneham, graduated from Austin Prep in Reading, lived in the Beacon Hill neighborhood in Boston for a number of years and has resided in Andover with his wife Liz and their four children since 1992.
Steve enjoys various family activities including tennis, alpine skiing and watching his kids athletic events.
